Better Beginnings Interagency Report
– Nov. 2, 2009
The Stay
& Play Drop-In sessions are going well. Attendance has increased with many
new families coming for the first time this year.
In Sept. 91
families, 121 children attended the sessions.
Oct. numbers
aren’t all in yet, but there were more new families and children who attended
some of the locations.
We are
hoping to run a 8 week Shake-Rattle-Roll program in Minitonas starting the
middle of Jan. We are applying to the Chronic Disease Prevention program for
funding to run the program. We need funds to buy some equipment and pay rent
for the use of the Town Hall.Once we have the equipment, we can run this
program at other locations.
Plans are
being worked on to start Better Beginnings sessions back at Birch River.
