BETTER BEGINNINGS INTER-AGENCY REPORT

APRIL 28, 2009

The weekly community sessions are carrying on with good attendance. They will run until the middle of June.

The Preschool Wellness Fair is scheduled for May 26, from 11:00 am – 7:00pm, at the Swan River Curling Rink. 18 Agencies have confirmed attendance, plus Child Find ID and Car Seat Safety Checks will be available. There will be screenings for Speech & Language, Hearing and Vision. Also there will be many interactive stations, entertainment and children’s activities.

Many volunteers will be needed to keep the day running smoothly. Anyone interested in helping, please contact Sharon @ 734-4531

The National Child Day Forum is scheduled for Nov. 16-18 in Winnipeg.

It will be 3 days this year as Healthy Child Manitoba is partnering up with the Council for Early Child Development’s National Conference.

Details on keynote speakers and registration will be available by July.
